First of all you nailed the forward and back thing I talked about... but the problem is that your render angle hides that. Titling this around so that you could clearly see the shape silhouette would be a better deal I think. Not necessarily all the way from the top like an orthographic, but 3/4 would be fine.
Secondly, your color scheme/ paint job could be a bit more interesting. A little more weathering, some decals and markings and maybe some camouflage will do wonders, and will help the scale of it as well.
